Sisters Kim, 41, and Khloé Kardashian, 38, are among 2,000 people who have been notified of excessive water use in yet another year of drought in Southern California, according to Rolling Stone magazine. Together, the sisters spent about 1.3 million liters more than allowed in the month in their mansions.
According to a report by the Municipal District of Aguas de Las Virgenes, Kim was responsible for about 878,000 liters of the surplus, and her younger sister completed with her 382,000 more. They may even have their water supply reduced as a result.
In the list of offenders who do not know how to control their use of water, there are other famous names, such as comedian Kevin Hart, retired NBA player Dwayne Wade and actress Gabrielle Union, and actor Sylvester Stallone. Other individuals complained about their excessive water consumption include Hollywood executives, doctors and lawyers.
According to water utility documents, water concessions in the district are determined by the size of the property and the number of individuals residing in a given household.
The drought in Southern California in recent times has made the region more control over the amount of water used by people each month.
