Actor Sylvester Stallone, 76, and wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, are separating after 25 years of marriage. The former model filed divorce paperwork in Palm Beach County, Florida on Aug. 19, according to Page Six.
Court documents obtained by the website say the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and note that Flavin is requesting that the assets accrued during the union be “distributed equitably” between them.
Flavin alleges that Stallone “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets”, which negatively affected the couple’s estate. She is asking to be “compensated” by receiving more money than Stallone receives from the estate.
The former model wants to go back to using her maiden name and having exclusivity with the couple in Palm Beach, Florida, while Stallone lives on his property in California. “I love my family. We are addressing these personal issues in a friendly and private manner,” Stallone told Page Six.
Four days after Flavin filed for divorce, the actor made headlines for covering up a large tattoo of his wife’s face on his shoulder. The couple got married in May 1997, nearly 10 years after they met at a restaurant.
The Golden Globe winner was previously married to Sasha Czack from 1974 to 1985 and Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987. He and Czack shared children Sage, who died in July 2012, and Seargeoh, 43.
