The developments in the last few hours regarding the double murder of Finikounda are stormy.

According to a SKAI report, in the center is a white car, which looks like the one that one of the two defendants fled after the murder. The men of EL.AS. have spotted a white car near the 68-year-old’s home on the day he was attacked by the 22-year-old with an air gun. They are investigating whether it is the same car in which the 22-year-old left Finikounda on the night of the murder.

The men of the Greek Police in Kalamata and the Homicide Unit of the General Police Directorate of Attica, are close to identifying which person was the one who was driving the car after the murder in Finikounda, but also to whom this particular vehicle belongs. They believe that this identification will unlock a piece of the puzzle of the killer in Finikounda.

However, there are also developments on the part of the investigator, who is investigating the case. Today at the Kalamata Courthouse, the man who was contacted by the only eyewitness of the killer, the victim’s nephew, was present for about 4 hours and answered questions. This is the employer of the 22-year-old, the alleged accomplice of the double murder.

The two 22-year-old arrested are expected to plead before the investigating officer on Sunday.

At the same time, the authorities are examining statements from relatives of the 68-year-old who estimate that the motives for the murder were financial.

“My uncle started with no money to buy a ticket and today he has a fortune worth about 30 million euros”said the 68-year-old’s nephew.

The owner of the campsite had revealed to a friend that after the first attack he was afraid for his life.

“He told me that he has informed the police, that he is being guarded and that he will stay with people,” the 68-year-old’s friend told the police.

On September 24, two weeks after the initial attack on him, the 68-year-old sent a message to his girlfriend that read:

“I use all my experience and knowledge to protect myself. Although something like this needs more effort.”

In a parallel investigation, they will examine from the removal of phone privacy, whether there were any suspicious communications before and after the crime.

During the supplementary testimony at the Kalamata courthouse, the 33-year-old nephew of the campsite owner claimed that immediately after the murder he made two calls. The first was to his mother, sister of the campsite owner. The second was at a close friend of his in Athens.
