The most successful Greek film of recent years “Island 1 & 2” was about the hunt for a hidden treasure in one of the thousands of uninhabited islands of our homeland.
More specifically, this treasure had been hidden by pirates in the distant past and there was even a map containing details on how to find it.
Fantasy is never far from reality.
In Messinia and more specifically across from Marathopoli and very close to Gargalianou is Nisos Proti. An uninhabited island that, however, probably hides a huge secret.
In one of its small bays, there have been mysterious messages carved on the rocks for thousands of years. Some claim that these are notes concerning a huge pirate treasure. Others say that these are messages carved thousands of years ago by sailors in order to have good seas and finally some talk about metaphysical messages of unknown origin.
Although we had to bring our drone, literally to its limits, we managed to record these strange carved messages and we present them to you.
