Gustavo Corasini, 12, the child actor who played the character Tadeu in the first phase of “Pantanal” (Globo), will need to undergo a new surgery, as informed his mother, Fernanda, this Monday (29). The family’s expectation was that he would be released from Hospital Santa Marcelina, in São Paulo, where he has been hospitalized since last week, after being run over.
“Today we were confident that we would go to our house, but unfortunately it will not be possible,” Fernanda Corasini wrote on social media. “Gustavo will undergo another reconstructive surgery on his wrist, which had an open fracture.”
She explained that it is a correction of the operation done before in the same place. “On the day of the surgery, as it was an emergency, they did what was possible at that moment, and the doctor said that perhaps it would be necessary to redo”, she said. “They chose to do it now, so as not to suffer again later. Pray for our boy.”
Gustavo was run over last Tuesday afternoon (23) along with his friend Eduardo Souza, 13. They were decorating the condominium’s sidewalk when they went to check on a bricklayer who had fallen at the neighbor’s house. “The rescue went to help and they, curious, went to see what had happened”, reported the mother. “A resident went to move her car out of the way to give way and got lost in the automatic transmission and ran over the boys.”
Eduardo couldn’t resist, and Gustavo broke his arm, his leg and fractured his pelvis. Gustavo’s family, who had announced a campaign to raise funds for the little friend’s funeral, also asked for donations to buy a house for the boy’s mother.
“Eduardo’s dream was always to help his mother and brothers”, says the text. And through this fundraiser that exceeded expectations, we were already able to provide a funeral and a beautiful tribute to Eduardo, just as he deserved! Our purpose now is to give comfort to Eduardo’s mother with the purchase of the house that was his dream!.”
