Mariah talked about her difficult childhood and the many beginnings she made along with trying to adapt to each of them.
“I didn’t fit in. I didn’t fit in. You know, it was more the black part of town it could have been where your mom chose to live, in the white neighborhoods. I didn’t fit anywhere either“, he said.
“Yeah, I get it,” Megan replied, adding that she was looking forward to welcoming the pop star to Archetypes, not only for her music career but also because she’s an influential biracial woman like herself.
Meghan then said that people only focused more on her race when she started dating Harry and then they started treating her like a black woman. “Because until then, I was treated as a mixed woman. And things really changed.”
