The President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou attended today the opening of the “Daughter of Thera” periodical exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Santorini and praised the Ephorate of Cyclades, the ministry and the municipality for this important work that is being presented to the public today.
As Mrs. Sakellaropoulou stated: “Yesterday I was, with particular emotion, at the inauguration of the extraordinary restoration project of the Diocese in Sikinos. Today, responding willingly, I am happy to say, to the proposal of the mayor of Thira and the Minister of Culture, I am here, in Santorini, where, 22 years after its discovery, the extraordinary beauty of the statue of the Archaic Period is being exhibited to the public for the first time ” Daughter of Thera.”

Afterwards, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou visited the Museum of Prehistoric Thera and was guided to the exhibition “Theraic frescoes – The treasure of the Prehistoric Aegean”.
