In other eras, favorite artists took the audience on a journey with arrangements and songs from the Greek and world repertoire Marios Frangoulis and Deborah Myers, yesterday at the theater “Katina Paxinos” in Attiko Alsos, where the 1st Festival of the Attica Region, (until October 2).
The concert was attended by the regional governor Giorgos Patoulis, the deputy regional governor for Culture Haris Romas and a large number of citizens.
Mr. Patoulis, in his brief greeting, thanked the artists and their musicians and pointed out that the Region of Attica organizes events in every corner of Attica with the aim of supporting the artistic world and the cultural entertainment of its citizens, whom he invited “to enjoy unique performances and concerts in the emblematic space” of the renovated theater “Katina Paxinos”.
This week’s schedule is as follows:
Monday, September 5: Music concert with Mattheos and Konstantinos Tsachouridis, in a musical encounter of traditional song of the Pontic Greeks and the polyphonic song of Epirus.
Tuesday, September 6: Music concert entitled “Vara Daguerre”. With the most beautiful classic folk songs of great creators and references to tradition and rebetiko. Performed by Babis Velissarios, Dimitris Reppas and (friendly participation) Stella Karyda.
Wednesday, September 7: Musical theater performance entitled “Or me or the other” with Lena Alkaiou and Sofia Vossou.
Friday, September 9: Music concert with Marina Satti.
Saturday, September 10: Music concert “Travel in time” with Teresa and Giorgos Katsaros and the band Latina Loca.
Sunday, September 11: Musical concert entitled “The Archon and the Tramp – Ode to the composers and lyricists who dressed the films of the Greek cinema with their sounds”, with Tina Trakou and conductor Nikos Kritikos.
