Martha Stewart makes an apron-only commercial at 81: ‘I’m not ashamed’

Martha Stewart, 81, a reference in lifestyle TV shows, appeared wearing only a kitchen apron, without any other clothes underneath, for a commercial for a coffee brand. “I thought, ‘Oh God, am I going to be okay enough?'” joked the presenter.

In an interview with People magazine, the television veteran said that at the beginning of her career, she had no problem accepting jobs that “required a little nudity in some way”. “I’m not ashamed of it,” she added.

Now, at 81, with videos of the commercial being successful on the internet and networks, she says she tries to keep her shape, mainly practicing “pilates, exercises, swimming and horseback riding twice a week”.

Stewart has already spent a few months in prison after being convicted of financial-market fraud involving insider trading. Her stint as a celebrity in jail even inspired an arc in the series “Orange is the New Black”.

Furthermore, she is a good friend of rapper Snoop Dogg and often shares moments of relaxation with the music star. The two have a partnership in the production of alcoholic beverages and have even made a parody of the scene in which Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze make a clay vase together in “Ghost – On the Other Side of Life” (1990).
