Cleo, 39, dared to dress up to perform on the Supernova stage at Rock in Rio this Friday (9). The singer and actress chose a naked dress (naked dress, in literal translation), a trend that has been making the minds of famous and anonymous around the world.
The piece gives the opportunity to put the body to play, but without showing too much. In fact, it has the print of a body drawn on the fabric, which can give the impression that the wearer is completely naked.
According to the fashion research platform Lyst Index, the naked dress is the “hottest” clothing at the moment. The look is currently the most sought after among women and was second only to a few accessories, such as a Diesel bag and sneakers from the collaboration between Adidas and Gucci.
The dress that inspired Cleo for the presentation is a creation of the luxury brand Jean-Paul Gaultier, alongside the artist Lotta Volkova. The piece is out of stock on the Italian brand’s official website, however, previously it could be purchased for 590 euros, which is equivalent to more than R$3,000.
Despite the current success, the nude dress and the concept of the piece are not unheard of. In 2014, the look was presented by Gaultier in the fall/winter collection. At the time, the model appeared on the catwalk with the piece covered by an overcoat and a latex mask, a trend seen recently in Balenciaga fashion shows.
In Brazil, the singer Anitta, 29, has already used a piece that brought the concept of the naked dress. In March of this year, she shared a photo of herself wearing a tank top with a bare bust design, and a sheer skirt, showing off her red panties. “You’re only doing it because I did it first,” she wrote.
