‘I dryly swallowed evil attacks, but now that’s enough!’, says Patrícia Poeta

Patrícia Poeta decided to vent on social media on Thursday night (15). The presenter revealed that she could no longer bear to be the target of malicious comments since she took charge of the program Encontro in early July on Globo. She admitted that she was slow to act on the intrigues and rumors because she didn’t want to “give the spotlight to people who propagate evil, hypocritical people, liars, who want to gain audience or clicks, whatever the cost”.

“Seeing these people making up stories about me (absurd things, by the way) hurts a lot. I’ve only been moving forward with a smile on my face, at this point in my life, because I love what I do, because I have a family and friends who are always close by and because I know what my mission is in this life”, begins Patrícia, giving a firm tone to the story.

Amid rumors of an unsustainable atmosphere behind the scenes at the Meeting, especially with her colleague on the bench, Manoel Soares, Patrícia demanded respect. “For more than 60 days I was silent. I swallowed dry malicious attacks and unreasonable lies told by irresponsible people. But now enough! Enough!”, declared Patricia. “I’m human. I’m a woman, a fighter and, honestly, deserving of every conquest so far. Anyone who knows me knows that. After all, it’s been 25 years working hard, dedicating myself and never hurting anyone”, added the presenter.

Patrícia Poeta did not name names and also made a point of thanking the support of her friends and the team at the Meeting. “I end here reminding you that we women are able to get where we want, leaving behind those who diminish us, try to belittle our achievements or prevent us from getting further.. To my co-workers and the public, once again, thank you very much. Together we are stronger, in this chain of good. To liars: I wish no harm, no. I only wish that they never fall victim to the harm they cause. It’s very painful,” she concludes.
