The actress and singer Cleo, 39, said through social networks that she has suffered from religious intolerance since the day she married businessman Leandro D’Lucca for the second time. The ceremony followed the tradition and commandments of Candomblé and the bride and groom were dressed in white.
“I get a lot of absurd comments about religion here on my Instagram. People have every right to follow the religion that most applies to their values, but there is not just one religion in the world,” he said.
“When we talk about religious intolerance, we know that it is much heavier when we talk about religions of African origins. No, I am not blind or deviated from Jesus as many of you comment”, he added before saying that he would block to continue to be disrespectful.
“It’s so tacky! I hope I don’t have to keep going back to this subject that was supposed to be a page turned, I won’t tolerate that kind of comment around here. Stop living in 1920, we’re in 2022”, he concluded.
Cleo and D’Lucca got married for the first time in July 2021. At the time, they shared photos of their civil union on a farm in the interior of Minas Gerais. The groom’s son, Gael, 8, was among the very few guests at the ceremony, attended remotely by Glória Pires, Fábio Junior and Fiuk.
