Recorded more than four years ago, a video in which Luana Piovani appears criticizing the current candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva returned to circulation after being shared by the Bolsonarista channel “Amigos de Bolsonaro Notícias”. Luana, who claims not to be a voter for either, intends to sue the channel.
“I am neither Lula nor Bolsonaro and I have not authorized the use of my image,” the actress tells F5 through her lawyer, Ricardo Brajterman. In the video, she appears saying the following, in an outburst tone: “Do you understand that you can’t put Lula down his throat anymore? .”
“Amigos de Bolsonaro Notícias” has more than 250,000 subscribers and the video has 3 million views – and counting. “It is unacceptable that a channel with enormous visibility misuses the image of a person and, on top of that, advertises the sale of products with which he does not agree”, says Brajterman.
The products advertised are t-shirts and mugs with pro-Bolsonaro messages. The caption inserted on the home screen also bothers Luana and her lawyer. “It says ‘Recado para a Globo Lixo’, implying that it would have been an attack by my client on Globo, which she would never have done”, she assures.
