Meghan and Harry seek home, but residents don’t want them as neighbors, says website

The couple Meghan Markle, 41, and Prince Harry, 38, are looking for a new home in the Hope Ranch community in Santa Barbara, United States, as the Daily Mail reports. Their idea is to live in a bigger place since now, with two children, the house in Montecito, California, worth more than R$ 70 million, has become small with the arrival of Lilibet.

However, according to TMZ, neighbors in this location do not want to welcome the new residents. They fear that the rather sleepy region will begin to bubble with photographers, cars and all the spotlights they bring in their luggage.

Sources on the site claim that the neighborhood is very private and that the arrival of the Duke and Duchess would bring a real “circus” to the surroundings. Because there are narrow and winding streets, many people fear that the accumulation of cars could harm children who usually play in the streets and leave the neighborhood schools.

After several disagreements, the two were officially “demoted” on the official website of the British royal family. Now, photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear at the bottom of the list.

Harry and Meghan are second only to Prince Andrew, 62, the son of Queen Elizabeth II (1926–2022) involved in a sexual abuse case and removed from the British crown since he closed a deal in the American court.

Previously, the page dedicated to the couple was positioned below those of Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 40. After leaving their duties in January 2020, the pages of the two were repositioned below Princess Anne.
