The 451st anniversary celebrations will conclude on Sunday, October 9, 2022 with the High Priestly Divine Liturgy at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Dimitrios and will be followed by the Memorial Mass at the Venetian Port.

“For the seventh year Theater Without Curtain undertakes the artistic supervision of the Nafpaktos Naval Battle Representation. Faithful to our philosophy, we do our best so that this demanding, popular spectacle includes poetry, art and an anti-war message, without losing its popularity.
And as every time, this year too, we change the perspective and direction, bringing a new aesthetic so that no representation is the same as the previous one. The dominant element of the aesthetics of our show this year is the paper world which is declared by the scenography and served by the direction. We chose the paper world to emphasize the futility of war and human intolerance – the lament is equally heartbreaking on both sides! With all that the planet has been experiencing lately, our need to articulate an anti-war cry becomes more imperative.”
