Jade Picon rebuts Mel Maia’s criticism: ‘You will never see me devaluing another woman’s effort’

Jade Picon thought that the controversy surrounding her debut as an actress on Globo would have come to an end, but Chiara’s interpreter in “Travessia” was once again criticized for her lack of experience in the area. Without mentioning the name of those who evaluated her performance in the plot of Glória Perez as “bad”, the influencer sent an indirect. “I wanted you to know that I am learning, and that you will never see me publicly devaluing another woman’s effort,” Jade announced.

But the fans of the ex-BBB soon identified who the message was given this Friday (14) on Twitter: Mel Maia. The day before, the actress, who made “Avenida Brasil”, “Joia Rara” and “Além do Tempo”, left a comment on the post that praised Jade’s performance in the soap opera on TikTok: “I wish her all the best! But only those who really understand acting see that… Right?”, commented Mel, making it clear that he classified the influencer’s performance in the plot as ‘bad’.

Since the first rumors began that Jade would be quoted to work in the Globo soap opera, in May, many actors complained about the situation. The Sindicato dos Artistas do Rio de Janeiro (Sated-RJ) received several calls from affiliates and non-affiliates from all over Brazil asking for clarification and even demanding a position from the entity against the possibility of the ex-BBB being cast in the production.

A month later, Jade got special authorization to act in the soap opera. “We gave a special authorization. A specific permission for her to act on a certain product [novela] and with expiration date. Work’s over, done. She will not have the right to professional registration when the plot ends”, commented the president of the Union of Artists of Rio de Janeiro, Hugo Gross, at the time. F5 found out that Jade was a bet by Globo’s entertainment director, Ricardo Waddington, and it was he who requested the document.
