Season 5 of the hit series premieres on November 9
Netflix is reportedly facing the wrath of British royals about the new cycle of episodes of the hit series ‘The Crown’ which will deal with Diana’s last hours.
The 5th season of the hit series which has been repeatedly accused by the palace will be released next month (November 9).
The series is already facing criticism for other scenes to be shown such as the presentation of King Charles as an unfaithful schemer plotting against his mother and the “romance of Prince Philip.
A royal expert and the Queen Mother’s official biographer described the series as “despicable” and “deliberately damaging” referring to the scene where Prince Charles tells the Queen she should be “thrown…in jail” for being a “bad mother”.
For its part, Netflix stated that the series does not reflect real events, but is a product of fiction. He insists that Diana’s death in Paris will not be featured in the new cycle.
A filming source is quoted as saying to The Sun: “The show has always tried to present a fictional version of the royal story with as much sensitivity as possible. But lately, as things get closer to today, it’s getting harder and harder to strike that balance.”
