Xenia Kalogeropoulou gave a rare television interview to the ERTNEWS show “At the Center” by Giorgos Kouvaras on the occasion of her return to the stage and specifically in the performance of Chekhov’s play “Uncle Vanya”, at the Proskenio theater.

She stated that she is very happy to be in this particular theater despite the many problems she has due to her age.

Referring to vision issue who faces said among other things that “recently eI turned 86 years old and they threw me a party here with candles[…] I used to say I don’t want another birthday, I don’t want to live in general, I can’t stand being like this, but little by little something changed because I started working, doing many things. From where I was at home and crying about my fate, now I do a lot. Of course, the main thing is my participation over here, this is a very rare troupe”.

“I have been very lonely since I lost my light because it was only natural that all people have jobs, have children, have problems… where they come to see an old blind woman and make her a friend… I was very alone. But now the opposite has happened, I can’t catch up…” said the beloved actress and playwright, among other things.
