Renata Vasconcellos moves the audience by crying for Susana Naspolini

Renata Vasconcellos moved the public on Tuesday night (25) when she ended Jornal Nacional crying after the news of the death of journalist Susana Naspolini, aged 49.

“See you tomorrow”, said William Bonner, also moved, after the exhibition of the video with several moments of the reporter from Globo in Rio de Janeiro. In tears, Renata was unable to say goodbye and it was possible to hear her crying.

The scene was much commented on social media and fans of the dead journalist said they also cried.

Susana Naspolini died after a long battle with cancer. The death was confirmed on social media by Julia, 16, her only child with sports journalist Maurício Torres, who died in 2014 at age 43.

“Think of someone who was totally in tune with the people of Rio. Imagine a person sincerely concerned with the problems of those who most need public power. Talk about a person who did all this with humor and affection. That was Susana Naspolini”, Mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) said on social media.

Paes said he will miss the journalist’s demands.

In the RJ Móvel segment, shown in the RJTV newspaper, Susana showed the city’s problems with good humor, interaction with the population and demands directed at the authorities.

Other journalists and artists, such as presenter Fátima Bernardes, also mourned the journalist’s death.

“Feel hugged. Your mother was a great woman. We are all sadder today”, said Fátima in a message to Susana’s daughter.

“May the orun welcome Susana at a party, this incredible woman, a professional of the best quality, a tireless warrior”, wished journalist Flávia Oliveira.

Actress Beth Goulart said the reporter only taught good things. For the carnival artist Milton Cunha, Susana is unforgettable.

Director Boninho said he hoped for the recovery and presenter Angélica wished comfort to the journalist’s daughter.

“Your mom is and will always be light”, said presenter Sabrina Sato. “Mission accomplished. Beautifully accomplished”, stated journalist André Trigueiro.

Susana had been undergoing treatment for two years for cancer in the pelvis, with metastasis. She had already had other tumors, in different organs, since she was 18 years old.

The journalist had been hospitalized for a week at Hospital Albert Einstein, in São Paulo. On Friday (21), daughter Júlia asked for prayers when she received from the doctors the news that her mother’s condition was very serious.
