Antônio Fagundes, 73, told Quem Pode, Pod, a podcast led by Giovanna Ewbank, 36, and Fernanda Paes Leme, 39, who loves to play video games and has fun on the roller coasters of playgrounds.
The veteran actor discovered the gaming world at age 60 and is a fan of narrative-focused games.
“I didn’t sleep for a week,” he said of the time he bought his first device. “Now I play occasionally, but I like it.”
According to him, his wife, Alexandra Martins, sees the games next to him as if they were movies. At the moment, he plays “God of War”.
Despite practicing, Fagundes said he’s not good enough at games. “I get stuck a lot, I take a long time, but I play well”.
He also made a reservation: he said that games mess with the brain by stimulating it in a different way, with attention focused on several actions at the same time.
“After you’ve played for three hours you can’t read,” he said. “It takes time to come back. It’s something that scared me.”
About roller coasters, the actor revealed that he always looks for this type of attraction on his trips and likes to sit in the front row.
Another holiday habit is “culture shock”. He likes to vary destinations: going to Russia and then to Las Vegas, for example.
Fagundes spoke again about the reason for the end of his contract with Globo. He did not accept the end of an agreement, which he maintained for 44 years and allowed him to record for TV only from Monday to Wednesday. The other days he reserved for theater.
“When they wanted to change this clause, I didn’t accept it”, he said.
Fagundes had already talked about the decision in an interview with Flow Podcast. He was called to play Velho do Rio, in “Pantanal”, but he didn’t want to give up his routine in the theater.
The actor is currently performing with the play “Baixa Therapy”, at Tuca, in São Paulo. The comedy has already taken more than 350 thousand people to the theater.
