Comedian Yuri Marçal, 29, revealed that he and his fiancee, actress Jeniffer Dias, 31, have received threats after publicizing their political position in favor of Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). On Wednesday night (26), the comedian explained what happened to his Instagram followers, with a video.
“I recorded a video over the weekend about the second round [das eleições para presidente] and posted it on Monday. And he mainly talks about turning a vote. The video was very well received, I received several messages to turn the vote, I had no idea. next to them, [recebi] various name-calling and threats, and you know well from whom,” he began.
Throughout the record, Marçal explains that one of the threats contained the license plate of his fiancee’s car, and that he realized the danger of involving another person he loves. “I don’t want to be a martyr to anything, I don’t have a chest of steel. We have to protect ourselves and protect the people we love”, he added.
A little later, in the early hours of this Thursday (27), Dias spoke about the threats on his Instagram. “Friends, I’m fine, safe. We’re taking all appropriate legal measures. It’s a big shock and sadness to have to deal with this… To think that we ‘can’t’ express ourselves”, he began.
“But faith that is ending, and that Sunday [30 de outubro, dia do segundo dia das eleições] we will win! Thank you for the messages of support and love. Let’s stay alert and strong”, he added. In the comments, celebrities showed support for the artist.
“Count on me dear”, wrote Regina Casé, 68. “A tight hug. Be well”, commented Fabiula Nascimento, 44. “May God protect you and may no evil prevail over you!”, wished Adriana Lessa, 51.
