The former professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich he is thrilled with his performance Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming film “The Iron Claw”.
In a statement to TMZ, Von Erich said of Efron that he “looked great” in stills released from the set of the upcoming film, showing the actor looking particularly muscular.
“It’s going to be a tough job I think, it’s a lot of information and a lot of time and so they’ve got a tough job ahead of them, but I saw a picture of the guy and he looked great,” the former wrestler said. “I don’t think I’ve ever been that good, so I think they’re going to do great. I bet they will.”
Von Erich told TMZ that while he has spoken with the film’s director, Sean Durkin, he has not contacted Efron about the role.
“But as for Efron, as soon as I saw this picture where he looks really good and muscular, I said he really must be working out hard.”
The upcoming film is based on a true story and follows “the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a wrestling dynasty that has made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day,” according to the studio.
