The seven-member K-pop group is ranked number one with a total of six chart hits.
Other artists who according to Billboard have the most number one hits on the Hot 100 are Drake with five, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift with four each, and Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj with three.
According to Billboard’s chart history archive, BTS topped the Hot 100 for the first time in 2020 with their collaboration with Jason Derulo on a remix of ‘Savage Love’ for a week and topped the chart again twice in the same year with the songs “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On”. “Dynamite” held its position at number one for three weeks, while “Life Goes On” held the position for one.
Three more Hot 100 hits came in 2021: ‘Butter’ held the top spot for 10 weeks, while ‘Permission To Dance’ and the Coldplay collaboration ‘My Universe’ were at number one for a week each.
