Singer Simaria came out in defense of Claudia Leitte, who over the weekend was one of the most talked about topics on Twitter when she was booed during a show at Micareta Salvador, in Bahia. The public also joined in the chorus in favor of the elected president (“Olê, olê, olê, olá, Lula, Lula”), in a provocation to Claudia, who would be a Bolsonarista, despite never having declared her vote.
Simaria defended the singer in a comment on Instagram. “What a shame! Respect Claudinha’s story! A good woman, simple, affectionate and much more… Stop it. Remember that behind a great artist there is a story, a heart, a person who goes through the same things than you”, wrote the sertaneja.
Not that Claudia received the criticism and taunts passively during the show. After a pause in which she looked irritated and at the same time surprised, she addressed the audience. “I don’t think differently from you, I want love, I want peace, I want people together. I want to promote meetings, happiness. And that’s why I’m not going to shout what everyone wants me to shout, I’m going to shout what God sends me talk, regardless of whether you think what you want, because I don’t live to please”, he shouted.
