Actor and driver Caio Castro, 33, is already well and at home after being involved in an accident at the Porsche Cup stage in Interlagos last Sunday (13). He shared more details on what happened on social media.
“First I would like to thank you for the messages from you who were concerned about my condition after the accident today at the Formula 1 stage of the Porsche Cup. It really didn’t go as we expected, we ended up having an accident there at the beginning. to go to the hospital to do some procedures that the regulation requires”, he began.
The actor was not injured, but he was upset that he got out of the race so quickly, on the first straight. “It’s okay, I’m great, a little disappointed. It’s not the result I would like us to have”, he amended.
On Sunday, the actor and driver’s car 22 left the track and hit the protective barrier, after being sandwiched between two other competitors.
Shortly after the start, Caio placed his car between Raijan Mascarello and Nelson Marcondes Filho, trying to reach Senna’s “S” already in advantage. There was no room for maneuver and he ended up “pressed” between the two opponents, crashing, along with Mascarello, into one of the protective barriers at Interlagos.
The two walked out of their cars and Mascarello, who was fighting for the title, got annoyed with Caio when he abandoned the race. Thanks to a combination of results, he managed to become champion even without completing the race. Caio Castro has been racing as a professional for 9 years.
