Kumail Nanjiani he doesn’t say no to challenges and talking about the new TV series “Welcome to Chippendales”in which he stars, emphasized that he doesn’t like playing boring, good characters.

When asked if he was worried about the role, Nanjiani told US magazine People: “For me, it’s more important to play complex characters. I’m not interested in playing boring, good, kind characters… I was really excited to play this character.”

Noting that “I hope [το κοινό] to think that he is very different from me. So I hope they’re surprised by my performance and I hope they understand him because he’s a very closed, very complex character, and I hope the audience understands what really made him who he was.”

As for where he drew inspiration from to play the role, the actor said that “a little bit and a lot of people.”

“Many types of people I know, many types of people I’ve met… None in particular, because I don’t know anyone like him. It was just a matter of taking pieces of people I knew or types of people I knew and trying to make a new character.”
