He sells madness Kanye West? The eccentric American rapper announced on Friday that he will run for the presidency of the United States in the 2024 election, adding that he proposed to Donald Trump to support him as his… vice-presidential candidate(!)

The musician and fashion designer, who chooses to be called ‘Ye’, posted a series of videos on Twitter, which featured the ‘Ye 24’ logo. In one of them, West, 45, says he had a conversation with Trump, who has already announced he will run for president again in 2024.

“I asked him to be my vice president,” West said, adding that Donald Trump was annoyed and “he started screaming.”

West was an independent candidate in the 2020 election but managed to collect only 70,000 votes.

Entourage of the 45th president did not immediately respond to an AFP question about whether the rap star’s claims are true, perhaps because he is still trying to recover from the shock.

Ye has come under fire in recent weeks for wearing a T-shirt that reversed the anti-racist slogan Black Lives Matter and for posting statements on Instagram and Twitter that were seen as anti-Semitic.

Adidas, which worked with West, announced Thursday that it is investigating after employees accused him of sexual misconduct and bullying.
