Gabriela Prioli launches a book on ideologies and tells how she became Anitta’s teacher

A criminal lawyer and master in criminal law from USP (University of São Paulo), Gabriela Prioli became known to the public when she began participating in political debates on the then debuting Brazilian channel CNN Brasil —which announced, this Thursday (01), cut expenses and several layoffs.

His name also became quite popular because of his friendship with singer Anitta, whom he helped to understand a little more about politics. That’s what she wants to do again, now with a book launch.

“Ideologies” discusses popular terms that have gained new meanings over time. “Today, classifying someone as left or right is saying very little about that person’s political inclinations. There are many lefts and many rights,” he says.

At the time, when she told her fans that she was taking politics classes with Prioli because she likes to “have as much information as possible and know what she’s talking about”, Anitta summed up exactly the author’s objective in deciding to launch the work.

“There are many people who don’t know very well, who don’t have a very fixed political position and who position themselves on the subject without knowing where that position is located on the political spectrum. The book proposes to bring content to these more open people”.

The lawyer remembers how Anitta became her student, when the singer was being increasingly pressured to declare her vote. “I was one of the people who came up and asked ‘what do you think you need to feel comfortable and publicly voice your opinion?’ And she said ‘I think I need to understand more about certain issues’.”

Last July, Anitta declared her vote for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). About this, Prioli says that every expression of opinion is important, especially in defense of democracy. “It’s a beneficial move.”

The funk artist rocked social media with her public nod to the president-elect, but then disappeared from the campaign. She did not return to address the issue on social media in the second round. Asked about the reasons for her friend’s silence, the lawyer evades. “I won’t answer because that’s her business.”

Prioli and Anitta were once again the subject of the networks recently when the presenter revealed that she had already ‘escaped’ a suruba at the house of the interpreter of the hit “Envolver”.

“The first time I slept at Anitta’s house, I escaped a suruba. I was sleeping there alone, my husband wasn’t even there, and I don’t belong to the suruba. In the end, I acted like a boring aunt, got up and I said, ‘Let’s stop this here'”, he said in the recording.

For her, the subject does not deserve so much attention. It’s over. “Nothing that relevant happened, it was just for us to tell a funny story”.
