Actor Thiago Rodrigues, 42, is yet another victim of violence in Rio de Janeiro. Leaving a bar located in Baixo Gávea, south of the city, early this Sunday (11), he was beaten by a group of bandits in an attempted robbery. Thiago still tried to flee the attack, but was surrounded by men.
The actor was unconscious for hours and ended up being rescued by exhibitors at a traditional antiques fair at Praça Santos Dumont. He was taken to Miguel Couto Hospital, in Leblon, where he needed to take some stitches in his head. According to information from columnist Ancelmo Gois, Thiago only understood that he was being robbed – his cell phone was taken – when he was already being beaten and on the ground.
F5 looked for Thiago Rodrigues, but did not get a response. The report also contacted the Miguel Couto Hospital advisor to find out about the actor’s health status and did not receive any information.
Thiago worked for 16 years at Globo. In 2018, he moved to Portugal, where he was acting in soap operas for Portuguese broadcasters. The actor landed in Brazil at the end of October to participate in the launch of the plot Valor da Vida, which is being shown by Band.
