Activist and influencer Kely Nascimento, 55, arrived in Brazil and shared records with her father, Pelé, 82, this Monday (12). She came to the country to accompany the treatment of the King of Football, who is still hospitalized at the Hospital Isarelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo.

In her official Instagram profile, she shared a photo holding the former player’s hand, and in another record, she showed that she was working from the hospital room. “Gratitude for coffee and for remote work,” she wrote in the Story caption.

Pelé has been hospitalized since November 29, treating cancer in the colon region and a respiratory infection. In the last medical bulletin, shared with the press on December 6, the hospital reported that the former athlete had “progressive improvement”.

Last year, the star underwent surgery for colon cancer. In early 2022, metastases were identified in the intestine, lung and liver. As shown to Sheet on December 2, he became unresponsive to chemotherapy and began receiving palliative care.

This means that chemotherapy treatment was suspended and comfort measures were adopted to relieve pain and shortness of breath. Pelé’s daughters reacted by trying to reassure fans. “I don’t like to say that the cancer treatment isn’t working. It already did, it’s working. Just him being here, breathing, it’s already working super well”, said Flávia Cristina, 53, to TV Globo.
