Gisele Bündchen causes frisson in the first appearance in Brazil after divorce

It was after 9 pm when Gisele Bündchen, 42, disembarked in front of the Pinacoteca, in the Luz region (downtown São Paulo), for her first public event in Brazil since she broke up. In late October, after much speculation, she and football star Tom Brady, 45, announced they were getting divorced.

It was only when the model got the first leg out of the car that the flashes started popping up, which lasted as she climbed the stairs and reached the lobby of the historic building. The same route had already been taken minutes before by celebrities, such as Claudia Raia, Gloria Pires and Sasha Meneghel. None caused so much frisson.

Not that any of those present got a bombastic statement from her about why her marriage ended or about the supposed new affair she would be living with a jiu-jitsu teacher — the model did not speak to the press. It’s just that when Gisele arrives, even the famous themselves get excited.

As she posed for photos, several celebrities were waiting for the cue to approach and appear beside her. Precautious, the fashion influencers already arrived with someone from their staff ready to record the meeting.

It had been about 12 hours since the gaucho had landed in the capital of São Paulo in the company of her children Benjamin and Vivian Lake, coming from the United States, where she lives. But for her there doesn’t seem to be jet lag.

Friendly, Gisele welcomes everyone, smiles, sends kisses and hugs whoever approaches her as if they were someone she hasn’t seen in a while. She seems to be at home, entertaining friends. However, for the guest of honor at the event —a commemorative dinner for the 60th anniversary of the jewelry store Vivara, the brand for which she has been a poster girl for 12 years— time is short and her passage through the party is timed, so she is soon pulled into another environment. .

The model crosses the catwalk —not the one from a fashion week, but one of those designed by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha in the renovation carried out in the building in the 1990s— and goes down the stairs, where she comes face to face with a huge sculpture of a human torso . She stops for a second to admire the piece, one of the Atlantes (a column with a male human form typical of Greek architecture) that occupies the space. “Look at this, guys!”, She praises those who were nearby.

Soon after, he arrives at one of the two 60-seat tables that were set up in the Pinacoteca’s inner courtyard. With no designated place, he chooses to stay almost at the end, with two security guards in tow, controlling who can approach. On one side, the sister and advisor, Patricia Bündchen. On the other, the friend and visual artist Giovanni Bianco.

Marina Ruy Barbosa, with her belly out, was two chairs later. Cauã Reymond sat right in front of the model. In the middle of the night, with heat, she took off her jacket and was only in a white T-shirt, with her muscles on display. Those who couldn’t find a place close by managed to pass by from time to time.

As soon as Gisele sits down, she asks the waitress who arrived with a tray of delicacies: “What’s that?” They were arancinis (risotto dumplings). “Hmmm, boooom! Prove it!”, she tells her sister.

Afterwards, she would still try the menu inspired by Brazilian elements signed by chef Alex Atala, which had butter bean salad, cassava mousseline with eggplant and pirarucu with herbal oil, among other elements.

While the dishes are served, the singer Agnes Nunes begins a presentation. Extremely excited, Gisele shrugs her shoulders, dancing without leaving her chair, and applauds a lot. When Maria Gadú is called on stage for a series of duets, then, the model makes it clear that it is the repertoire that pleases her in full, as she sings excitedly all the lyrics of “Shimbalaiê”.

After the show and dinner, the model applauded the duo and still insists on talking to them. “We talk about light, which is something that unites us, it is very bright”, says Nunes. “She was singing them all, did you see?”

Minutes later, between one request for a photo and another, Gisele heads for the exit. Those who haven’t managed to secure a selfie yet, chase after until the last minute, until they are stopped by a security guard who restricts access to an alternative exit from the Pinacoteca, where a car is waiting to take the model away. All duly recorded, of course, by the photographers who were waiting outside the event.
