A pride to see a black Brazilian man so adored and so respected.”

“What a difficult year, how many friends have gone”, lamented director Boninho. “Today we lost our Pelé, his smile, the genius of the ball. The ball is sad today. Go friend, rest.”

“Pelé Eterno is not just the title of a biopic, but a definition of a legacy, of everything that this guy represents in history”, lamented actor Lúcio Mauro Filho. “Rest in peace King Pelé”, commented the musician Emicida.

The family has not yet released details about the wake, but a structure was set up in Vila Belmiro in recent days to host the vigil. The burial will take place in Santos.
