Actor Alfonso Herrera, 39, spoke about the return of the RBD group. This month, five original members published a video of the group with the caption “Soy Rebelde”, increasing rumors of a possible comeback tour in 2023. The only one who had not shared the video had been Herrera, who confirmed that he will not participate in the project .

Poncho, the nickname of the actor who played Miguel in the telenovela “Rebelde” (2004), broke the silence on the subject. In a video released by fans, he talks to reporters at the exit of an airport and explains the reason for his absence from the group’s comeback project: “I’ll be working”.

“It’s a very important project. It’s still very important and that’s the result, isn’t it? And what I can say is that it’s going to be a very successful project and I wish them all the success in the world”, complements Herrera.

He denied regretting participating in RBD. “I am happy to have been part of such a successful project. I am grateful and will remain grateful. I feel and am happy with the projects I have now and one thing does not cancel the other”, he explained. “My past is what makes me the person I am right now.”

Poncho dodged the question about the possibility of participating in a show or event in the future that involves the return of RBD. He said he keeps in touch with Dulce María, Anahí, Maitê Perroni, Christian Chávez and Christopher Uckermann, members of the group. “We talk on WhatsApp and exchange messages from time to time,” he said.
