Singer Victor Chaves, from the extinct duo with Léo, praised on social media the inauguration speech of the Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship, Silvio Almeida, who promised to create a national plan to protect human rights defenders. He shared on Instagram an excerpt from the video in which Almeida mentions a series of groups that should be the focus of attention in his management and says to society: “you exist and are valuable to the country”.

“If your son fell into the turbulent waters of a river, at risk of death, who would you prefer to save him: someone from the right or from the left?”, asks the singer. “And if someone talks about the importance of others, indistinctly, is there any way not to agree? We are in a time when the obvious is asserted, if it is to care about others”, wrote the singer in the caption of the video.

Internet user @jbelchioroficial commented that he did not understand what the singer meant. “I don’t understand what you, one of my idols, meant, but I sign everything Silvio [Almeida] meant. I hope that was your interest”, wrote the netizen. Victor replied: “Exactly! I just agreed with what he said, regardless of parties or polarizations.”

Internet user Maria do Socorro Ferreira also had difficulty understanding what the singer said. “Victor sometimes speaks very difficult. He’s like Carlos Drummond de Andrade, I don’t understand but I think it’s beautiful”, commented Maria. “The speech is beautiful”, said rodeo presenter Cuiabano Lima.

On the other hand, several fans of the singer did not like the post about politics. “Victor Chaves lie that you made a little frown putting ‘left or right’.
