Jeremy Renner celebrated his 52nd birthday at a hospital, where he has been hospitalized since the accident he suffered on January 1st. Known for his role as Hawkeye in Marvel movies, he used social media to thank a group of young people from The Base Chicago for their love.
“Congratulations, Jeremy Renner! Have a great day”, they wrote in the caption of a video in which they appeared singing and dancing to the song “In Da Club”, by 50 Cent, with posters with the lyrics of the artist’s name. “I love you all so much,” replied Renner, who also reposted the images. “Thank you, you made my spirit sing!”
On Friday (6), the actor also shared a photo in which he thanks the medical team responsible for treating him in the ICU. “Thanks to the renowned team of ICU physicians for starting this journey”, he declared when publishing an image in which he appears surrounded by health professionals.
An Oscar nominee for “The Hurt Locker” (2008), Renner was run over by a six-tonne snowplow while helping a relative free his car. On the 911 call shortly after the incident, obtained by TMZ, he was moaning in pain and having extreme difficulty breathing.
With the right side of his chest crushed and injuries to his head and leg, he was airlifted to a Nevada hospital in critical condition. On the 2nd, the actor underwent two surgeries and remains in critical but stable condition.
