The internationally renowned master violinist, Leonidas Kavakospresents the initiative “Kavakos & Friends”, inviting some of the brightest representatives of the younger generation of Greek soloists to Megaro. In the two-day event, organized for the first time, they choose to present a challenging chamber music repertoire that brings to the fore the rare eclectic affinities between instruments and performers.
Also for the first time, the Megaro is hosting in its halls and other areas the two-day tribute “Piano Days @Megaron”a piano marathon with concerts by recognized soloists from Greece and abroad, original discussions, but also entertaining educational programs.

In the first quarter of 2023, beloved and acclaimed Greek performers will still appear on the Megaros stage, such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, Dimitra Galani with Martha Frindzila, Maria Farandouri and Manolis Mitsias.

High-definition screenings of select productions with exceptional casts have been particularly popular with theatre-goers, who rushed to secure their seats in time for ‘Prima Facie’, the first sold-out broadcast of the year, with Jodie Comer in an impressive performance recital. The continuation of the screenings is expected to be even more interesting, with Ralph Fiennes being applauded by the British viewers as the protagonist of “Straight Line Crazy”, the new work of the English dramatist David Hare.
The eminent composers of the Renaissance and the Baroque Isabella d’Este, Isabella Leonarda and Barbara Strozzi, who sealed the history of Early Music with their work and personality, are highlighted in three concerts with period instruments.
