Leonidas Kavakos comes again to the Athens Concert Hall, inviting some of the brightest representatives of the younger generation of Greek soloists, Alexandros Sakarellos (violin), Ilias Livieratos (viola), Timotheos Gavrielides-Petrin (cello) and Vassilis Varvaresos ( piano). The leading Greek violinist and his guests, who have developed a close artistic relationship with him, will give two chamber music concerts with a different program as part of the “Kavakos & Friends” cycle, a new artistic initiative of the internationally renowned virtuoso. The first will take place on Sunday, February 12 (starting time 6:00 p.m.) in the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall, and the second, on Tuesday, February 14 (8:30 p.m.), in the Christos Lambrakis Hall.

In this two days, they choose to present a demanding repertoire that brings to the fore the rare eclectic affinities between instruments and performers. On the first night (12/2) the following will be heard: Sonata for Viola and Piano by Rebecca Clarke, The Italian Suite for Cello and Piano by Igor Stravinsky (transcribed by Gregor Piatigorsky), Sonata for Violin and Piano by Maurice Ravel and the Quartet with piano no. 2 in E flat major by Antonin Dvorak. The program of the second evening (14/2) includes two landmark works of Romanticism, the Quintets for strings and piano by Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms.

The pre-sale has already started. Ticket prices: from 10 to 45 euros.
