Jeremy Ruehlemann, well-known model and face of the designer “Siriano”, died at the age of 27. His cause of death is not yet known
The fashion world hastened to say goodbye to him with touching posts and tributes. Hailing from Mahwah, New Jersey, Jeremy Ruehlemann worked as a counselor and studied psychology before pursuing a modeling career. Since then she has walked many of Siriano’s catwalks while also working as a model with other designers such as John Varvatos, Joseph Abboud, Superdry, Macy’s, Zara, Nick Graham and Atelier Cillian. The rising star has also appeared in GQ and Playhaus Magazine and collaborated with brands Superdry and Perry Ellis.
Ruehlemann’s latest Instagram post was a behind-the-scenes image from a Tommy Hilfiger-branded photo shoot, captioned “Bts with Tommy.”

Fashion designer Christian Siriano who considered Ruehlemann one of his best models shared an emotional post on Instagram on Sunday.
“I’ve never posted anything like this, but losing a friend who was such a beautiful soul is so hard,” she captioned the post, along with a series of photos. “This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man who gave so much love to everyone he met. He inspired me and I will love him forever,” he added.
“Sending all my love to his family and friends who have lost someone so special. I know we will meet again one day, but right now I just want to hug him. Rest well J we all love you so much! Send love to his family today please,” she concluded.
Following news of the model’s death, Hilfiger’s younger brother Andy Hilfiger wrote “I’m sorry,” followed by a praying hands emoji.
Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo mourned his death on Instagram, writing that he was devastated by the news.
“He was such an influence on everyone he met,” she wrote. “In this industry you meet a lot of people, but he was one of those people that even if you met him once he would have a piece of your heart forever. My team and I love you and we love the time we spent working with him. A true friend, we will love and remember you forever. RIP Jeremy.”
Halston Creative Director Ken Downing wrote: “Goodbye Sweet Jeremy. RIP Jeremy Ruehlemann. Love to your family that you loved, as much as they love you and were loved by you. You broke my heart.”
Ruehlemann’s childhood friend Gianni Simpson posted a tribute on Facebook, sharing memories of their time together.
“(…) We were instantly inseparable and both bonded over our live for music, sports, fashion tattoos, etc. We grew up together every summer for 2 years after that and would call each other about anything. (..). I love you forever and the news that you are gone really broke my heart. You will forever be in my heart! From your big brother I love you.”
