Actor Jeremy Renner is a real ‘hero’, as it became known, he tried to save his nephew, as a result of which he was crushed by the snow plow. The snowplow’s parking brake was not engaged, according to a report from the Nevada Sheriff’s Office.

The snowplow began sliding on its side after the 52-year-old Avengers star used it to pull his nephew’s vehicle out of the snow.

The huge vehicle, which moves on crawlers, “overwhelmed” the unlucky Hollywood actor, leaving him with 30 broken bones and having so far undergone two surgeries, while his friends some time ago spoke of a long recovery period.

“The Pistenbully snowplow began to slide, causing Jeremy Renner to exit the vehicle without applying the emergency brake,” the report states, according to CNN.

“Although the Pistenbully had some mechanical problems, it was believed that the parking brake would have prevented the machine from moving forward. When the actor tried to stop or swerve the Pistenbully to prevent his nephew from being injured, the vehicle pulled him down and crushed him.”

CNN reported that the report indicated that “mechanical problems may have played a role in this accident.” The actor’s nephew tried to help Jeremy Renner until help arrived at the scene. He was airlifted to the hospital, where he remained for more than two weeks and underwent at least two surgeries.

According to the report, Renner told investigators the incident began to unfold when he towed his nephew’s vehicle off the road. He tried to “unstick” it from the snow, as a result of which it crushed him. The actor jumped out of the snowplow’s cab, but quickly realized the vehicle was on course to hit his nephew directly. “He feared the Pistenbully was going to hit his nephew, so he decided to try to stop or deflect it,” the report states, according to CNN.

A few days ago, the actor’s desperate phone call for help was made public. In this call, Jeremy Renner can be heard crying and writhing in pain, while a neighbor, who made the call, asks the 911 dispatcher for help.

“There is someone in front of my house, he was hit by a snowplow. He is very seriously injured,” he is heard saying. “His right side is crushed. His right chest and upper torso, his ribs, look like they may have been crushed. He also has one
head trauma,” he is heard saying.

The call was made public a day after Renner posted on social media that he was at home recovering from the serious accident.
