James Franco admitted that he was addicted to sex and that he did not see other people’s feelings.
Although almost four years have passed since the allegations of sexual harassment, the actor has now spoken for the first time about this issue.
“I was completely blind to the power of power or something … I did not want to hurt people,” said the actor, who was charged in 2018 with sexual misconduct.
Franco said his problems got out of hand when he realized he “could never be loyal to anyone” until he met his girlfriend Isabel Pakzad.
“I cheated on everyone before Isabel,” he admitted.
“Actually, I was not a one night’s guy … you know I was with the people I was dating for a long time, I just could not be present for any of them. “And my behavior was to the point of hurting everyone.”
He also said that the attention he received from the women he dated was like a powerful drug, to which he was addicted for 20 years. Until Iris Torres’s bride gave him to read a book about sex and addiction, which, as he said, hit him like a bullet and he thought: “My God, this is me”.
As he said when he was able to fight his alcohol addiction, and this happened at the age of 17, he sought to “fill the hole” in other addictions.
“And so in a weird way, I’m addicted to acceptance, I guess, or success, or whatever it is,” he added.
