Felipe Neto, 33, was elected the biggest influencer of the year at the F5 Award, promoted by Folha’s entertainment website. In the new categories focused on the digital world, included this year, Podpah was chosen as the best entertainment podcast and Netflix as the best streaming service.
The 2021 voting started on November 16th and ended on December 6th on the website F5. Internet users could vote as many times as they wanted in different categories.
There were 35,283 votes for Felipe Neto, equivalent to 57.83% of the total. He competed in the category of greatest digital influencer and left behind former BBB 21 participants Juliette (24%), Gil do Vigor (11%) and Camilla de Lucas (4%). It was also in the race Ademara Barros (Ademaravilha), which had 4%.
With 43.4 million followers on YouTube, Neto also won the greatest youtuber of the year awards at the iBest! award. Last year, he was on Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. If we add up the numbers of his Youtube, Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter profiles, he reaches 85.9 million followers.
By winning the category of best entertainment podcast, Podpah proves that it is one of the most popular of the moment. In the vote, he received 59.26% of the votes, totaling 21,935. It overcame Não Unviable (18%), Flow (8%), Mano a Mano (8%) and Nipples (6%). This year, Podpah, led by Igão and Mítica, also won the MTV Miaw award in the podcast category of each day.
To get an idea of the scope of the podcast, interview from former president Lula (PT) to Podpah, on the night of December 2, generated more than 310,000 mentions of the politician on Twitter and 3.4 million views on YouTube by 11am the following day.
Netflix, on the other hand, was elected the best streaming service with 67.35%, totaling 16,104 votes, proving that it remains sovereign among the other platforms that were gradually arriving in Brazil. Streaming beat Globoplay (11%), Prime Video (8%), HBO Max (8%) and Disney+ (6%).
This year, Netflix also won six of the ten categories in an evaluation by Guia da Folha. The awards won by the company in this ranking were the best collection, news, original productions, Subtitles in portuguese, Image quality e functioning on different devices —in the other four categories in which she lost, she appeared at least in second or third place.
