One of the most iconic outfits of Carrie Bradshaw from the series Sex And The City, is going to be auctioned in New York for charity.
Former clothing designer Patricia Field donated the protagonist’s tulle skirt to a New York non-profit organization.
The classic pink outfit, worn by Sarah Jessica Parker at the beginning of the successful HBO series, will be auctioned at Housing Works’ annual Fashion for Action fundraiser next week.
Along with donations from Patricia Field, the fundraiser – which begins Nov. 10 at Manhattan’s Housing Works flagship – will also include donations from fashion designer Betsey Johnson, Oscar-nominated actress Chloë Sevigny and other celebrities.
The auction will last a total of four days and will include pieces by fashion designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney.
In September, designer Patricia Field revealed she would not be returning for the long-awaited revival of Sex and the City, noting that she had no regrets or bitterness after starring in six successful Sex And The City seasons and two spin-off films.
Molly Rogers will take on the role of costume designer on the set of And Just Like That and it seems that Patricia Field politely handed over the baton to her successor.
However, if one is not a fan of the tulle skirt, but loves the series, he may soon have a chance to book a stay at Carrie’s iconic New York apartment.
More specifically in honor of And Just Like That…, which is scheduled to premiere in December, Parker partnered with Airbnb and Warner Bros. Consumer Products to offer two nights in Carrie’s famous character’s Upper East Side apartment.
