Popular travel magazine Travel and Leisure and the British Times highlight Patmos for a cruise and Greece’s “unspoiled and unspoiled destinations”

Among the best places on the planet for holidays in 2023, Patmos is ranked, according to the popular travel magazine Travel and Leisure (see the report here).

Among 50 destinations in the USA, Cuba, Italy, Morocco, France, Denmark, Spain, South Korea, Greenland, Croatia, Greece and Chile, the experts recommend a cruise to up-and-coming destinations with Patmos as the “protagonist”.

With most destinations around the world opening for the first time since the pandemic, 2023 is expected to be the first year of a full recovery of tourism, as reported by the international media.

In the same vein, the British Times lists the 76 top global travel trends for the new year.

Nature-loving activities, Valentine’s Day getaways, yoga in exotic destinations, getting to know wild flora and fauna, “slow food” and discovering ancient cultures shape the new “map” of travel preferences. Visiting unspoiled and unspoiled destinations in Greece holds a special place, according to the authoritative newspaper that specifically mentions Marathi and its exotic beauties.

“Patmos, Arkoi and Marathi have a great dynamic that perfectly matches the needs of the modern traveler. We highlight different experiences and travel habits that had faded due to the pandemic and are now making a strong comeback. It is no coincidence, after all, that for 2022 the number of cruise ships that visited Patmos marked an impressive increase of 36.9% compared to 2019”, stressed the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of the Municipality of Patmos, Nikos Koutouzos.

It is noted that the promotion program of the Municipality of Patmos was recently presented to the members of the Tourism Committee. “The objective of the critically acclaimed program was to highlight the natural beauty, beaches, excursions to Marathi and Arkios, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, gastronomy, religious and historical attractions, activities, cruise prospects and the high quality of our tourist services”, added Mr. Koutouzos.
