With voluminous hair, Sophie Charlotte seems to have incarnated once and for all the love for Gal Costa, who died in November last year. She arrived accompanied by her husband, Daniel de Oliveira, to a box at Marquês de Sapucaí to check out the 2023 Carnival samba school parades.

The actress, who gave life to the singer in the film “Meu Nome É Gal” (scheduled for release in September of this year), is convinced that playing the interpreter of “Vaca Profana” changed her career. “Without a doubt there is a before and after of this film”, she says to F5.

She only regrets that the honoree was not able to see herself represented on screen. “This film was made for her to watch, and to do justice to her work. But it will reach all the people who loved her”, she resigns herself.

Recently, Sophie sang songs by Gal during a participation in the Academic block of Baixo Augusta, in São Paulo, on the pre-Carnaval weekend. And he talks about a funny situation experienced at the time.

“I was on top of the electric trio and a man made a sign asking about the second season of ‘Todas As Flores'”, recalls the actress, who in Globoplay’s plot lives the protagonist Maíra, who is blind. “It is important to have this debate and raise awareness about the anti-capacity struggle in Brazil”, she celebrates.
