In an exclusive interview with the Irish “Eonmusic” the famous guitarist, Steve Vai, revealed that he has an entire album “sitting in the drawer” with him Ozzy Osbourne.

“I don’t have any control over it or the rights, but we recorded some really good stuff,” Vai revealed, noting that his sound is unique because “all my rhythm guitar parts, I use an octave divider (guitar effect) ».

It is worth noting that they collaborated in the mid-1990s, for the album “Ozzmosis” and wrote “My Little Man” together.

When asked how close he came to joining Ozzy’s band, the musician said: “Ozzy had recorded about half of his (Ozzmosis) record and his wife and the label wanted to put him together with different artists to make a few more. songs. I was one of them,” Vai said.

Their collaboration was so good that they ended up creating more songs than intended.

“And that was all fine and dandy…until the knife fell, and they basically said, ‘What are you doing?’ No, you just have to get a song from Vai and finish your record. We have already put so much money into it, and Vai is more expenses,” noted the virtuoso guitarist.
