The actor opened the SS Daley Fall-Winter 2023 show by reading a poem by Alfred Tennyson
The actor Ian McKellen made a surprise appearance at London Fashion Week, for the SS Daley Fall-Winter 2023 collection. The 83-year-old actor appeared in a navy look, as he wore a navy beret and coat in a dark blue shade, on top of which there was a naked male figure, while in addition he held a green book in his hand.

McKellen recited excerpts from Alfred Tennyson’s poem “The Coming of Arthur” from the catwalk. In fact, it was the actor’s own idea to appear at the SS Daley show, with the brand’s designer commenting: “You don’t say no to Sir Ian McKellen. To be honest, I couldn’t believe it.”

Steven Stokey-Daley, as is the young designer’s full name, won an award last year from the Louis Vuitton house, while he loves theatrics in his shows.
