A new song by the legendary Whitney Houston was released recently – 11 years after her death – entitled “He Can Use Me”.
The song is featured on her second gospel album ‘I Go to the Rock: The Gospel Music of Whitney Houston’ which will be released on March 24.
“He Can Use Me” was recorded in 1981 by Houston when she was 17 years old and her voice is breathtaking.
The much-anticipated new album features five more of her unreleased songs.
“The Voice,” as she was called, was found dead of cardiac arrest from a cocaine overdose in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills Hilton suite on February 11, 2012.
According to Houston’s website, along with the album, a new television documentary will be released on the same day and will be shown on several television networks. Produced by Barry Jennings, GRAMMY Award-winning singer CeCe Winans will present the entire journey of the one and only Whitney Houston in gospel music “from her first public appearance to the recording of the soundtrack to the movie “The Preacher’s Wife” in 1996, which became the most successful gospel album of all time.”
The documentary, which will also be released on DVD, also includes unforgettable live performances from the NAACP Image Awards and the American Music Awards.
