TV Series Costume Design Award goes to Amy Roberts for Netflix’s ‘The Crown’

Shirley Kurata emerged victorious in a race against historic costume titans Deborah L. Scott (Avatar: The Way of Water), Ruth E. Carter (Black Panther) and Mayas Rubeo (Thor: Love and Thunder ), Variety reports. Shirley Kurata accepted the award for Costume Design in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Film.
Kathryn Martin won the Costume Design Award for Period Film for her work in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, creating more than 90 looks for Austin Butler as the King of Rock n’ Roll. For her work in the film “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” the Costume Design Award in a Contemporary Film went to Jenny Egan.
The TV Series Costume Design Award went to Amy Roberts for “The Crown” volth Netflix. Colin Atwood and Mark Sutherland took home the Costume Design Award in the Contemporary TV Series category for “Wednesday,” and Carrie Kramer and Jason Rembert won in the Variety/Reality/Competition/Live TV category for “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.” Prime Video. Costume Design in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series went to Janie Temin for “House of the Dragon: The Heirs of the Dragon.”
Actor-singer Titus Burgess hosted the 25th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, which presented special honors to actors Angela Bassett and Bette Midler and costume designers Deborah L. Scott and Rachel Stanley.
