Play your cards right and you won’t have to look for the next three days in your calendar
You are back at work after three days full of relaxation, fun, nature, friends. The first thing you do is look for the next three days coming up? I have some ideas for you.
-
Don’t put everything you’ve been avoiding all week on Friday
Sometimes, the best part of a three-day isn’t actually the days away from the office – it’s the days without your least favorite part of work. Is he the boss? the boring meetings? a colleague you have to put up with?
If, for example, you just manage to adjust your Friday schedule to not include those that bother you, then you may start to feel your heart rate decrease by Thursday night. Close your affairs with the colleague you don’t like during the week, if possible. As much as you can, don’t leave important work for Friday.
-
Prepare an interesting meal every Friday
Weekdays are easy to say, “Well, I’m going to be miserable anyway, so I might as well eat a wilted salad to match my mood.” Fortunately, on Friday you are in a better mood to treat yourself to two slices of pizza or whatever else you want. That way, you won’t have to prepare your meal from the night before and you certainly won’t have to eat the lentils from Wednesday.
-
Leave the office a little earlier on Fridays
The second half of Friday already feels like a weekend. If not all Fridays but at least some, go to work earlier (or not at all) and leave a quarter of an hour earlier than usual in the afternoon. If you add up for the whole week, it’s a total of an hour and a quarter earlier than usual and that’s how you make your revolution in this Capitalist Hell.
-
Go to a funeral
My devilish advice is to calculate how many Fridays in total you want to be at the company, and after your first week there, it’s leaked that you have a lot of aunts. If you have to go into more detail, say “You know what those times were like, they had a lot of kids,” which will shut down any conversation as no one wants to know more about either the era or your aunts.
-
Be so bad at your job that no one asks you to do anything on Friday
If you play your cards right, you won’t have to work in general again. The good news is that it’s easy to achieve, the bad news is that you have to find a way to pay your bills.
