“I wondered if I would ever find the courage to tell her. Was there enough tequila in California to make me that brave?’
Shortly after the release of Prince Harry’s book in which, among other things, he reveals that he made “magic mushrooms” at Courteney Cox’s house, the actress wanted to make it clear that she was in no way the supplier of the drugs.
She specifically said in an interview she gave to Variety: “I won’t say there were mushrooms!”, adding, “I certainly wasn’t handing them out.”
She then revealed that the rumor that Duke stayed at her house for a few days was true.
“As a Friends fanatic, the idea of sleeping over at Monica’s house was especially appealing,” Harry wrote in the book, also stating, “I was still confused because… it was Monica. I was a Chadler too.’
Prince Harry also admitted he was in love with the actress, writing: “I wondered if I would ever find the courage to tell her. Was there enough tequila in California to make me that brave?’
“I haven’t read the book. But I want to, because I’ve heard it’s really good,” Cox commented in the interview, also saying that the quote about their meeting “backfired on her.”
